The Higher Education Commission Pakistan introduced the Undergraduate Studies Assessment Test/USAT Test with the collaboration of the Education Testing Council/ETC Pakistan in running the year 2023. All the candidates are informed to apply for USAT Test as soon as possible.

HEC/ETC Undergraduate Studies Assessment Test 2021 — A step-by-step guide to applying for USAT test 2023

The candidates are not allowed to get enter any public or private university without clearing the Undergraduate Studies Assessment Test/USAT of HEC. This is necessary for all the candidates who wish to get admission to any Government or Private University in Pakistan from 2023 onward.

The candidates of FSc, Inter, FA, I.Com, D.Com, Intermediate, FA Information Technology, science, and arts group, or having 12 years of education or equaling will be able to get entry in any private and public university after getting at least 50 % marks from Undergraduate Studies Assessment Test/USAT 2023.

Who can apply for USAT Test?

Candidates having 12 years of education or equivalent education of any discipline can apply for the Undergraduate Studies Assessment Test/USAT of HEC in 2023. There are following disciplines of 12 years of education such as listed below

Faculty of Science/FSc Pre-Medical
Faculty of Science/FSc Pre-Engineering
Faculty of Arts/ FA
FA Information Technology
Diploma in Commerce/D.Com
Com
ICS
Intermediate/Inter

The above-mentioned disciplines have to appear in the Undergraduate Studies Assessment Test/USAT of HEC to get admission in any discipline of public and private universities.

The Undergraduate Studies Assessment Test/USAT of HEC will be applicable to all fields of universities either Government or Private Universities. The candidates will not be able to get admission to universities with the Undergraduate Studies Assessment Test/USAT of HEC and ETC Pakistan.

USAT Test Break-up/ Marks Distribution

Here is a marks distribution in the Undergraduate Studies Assessment Test/USAT of HEC and ETC Pakistan as given below

USAT Test from Part-I

Total 75 MCQs
Total marks will be 75
Verbal reasoning MCQs will be 35
Quantitative reasoning MCQs will be 40
The time allowed for 75 MCQs will be 100 minutes

USAT Test from Part-II

The time allowed for this section will be 40 minutes
It involves easy writing skills
400-500 words
The language for easy writing will be English/Urdu
Total marks will be 25

The total marks of the USAT test will be 100 and the candidates have to score 50 to qualify for the Undergraduate Studies Assessment Test/USAT 2023. The course for the test will be the same as in 2021.

USAT Proposed Test Schedule

The test schedule for the Undergraduate Studies Assessment Test/USAT will be proposed after the finalization of the USAT test. It will be conducted in major/big cities of Pakistan simultaneously. There are chances to re-conduct the USAT test again if there will be vacancies in universities of any discipline.

The yearly test of the Undergraduate Studies Assessment Test/USAT will be uploaded on the official website of ETC. There will be a portion/section from where the candidates can apply for the Undergraduate Studies Assessment Test/USAT 2023 onward.

USAT & Role of Universities

All the public and private universities of Pakistan are fully allowed to appreciate their admission as per schedule. The candidates have to send the USAT test with other academic documents for final merit and selection.
